About Me

Rosetta was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and raised in southern New Jersey. Her family raised her in the church which provided the opportunity to join the gospel choir and the praise team. This helped her learn about her many talents in dance, music, and theatrical performances.
During her high school years, Rosetta participated in many clubs and student activities. Those included the Leo Volunteer Club, Step Team, Student Council, Color Guard, Concert and Gospel Choir, Drama Club, Softball, and Cheerleading. Rosetta served as a role model by performing theater shorts to the local elementary schools for over 400 students, educating them on behaviors, emotions, and forgiveness.
She participated in the 6th Miss LHS pageant and placed 1st runner up. The court voluntarily rode and contributed to the Lindenwold Township Day Parade to celebrate and support the local residents. Her involvement in these groups helped her achieve three scholarships for college, an induction into the Honorary International Thespian Society for Theater, and acceptance into the National Youth Leadership Forum for Law.
Rosetta began college at Montclair State University under the Educational Opportunity Program that provides grants for underprivileged students in New Jersey. She studied speech communication and continued to find opportunities to stay involved with the campus community.
Some of her involvement included membership in the Native African Student Organization (NASO). They united African traditions and programs with historical knowledge and pop culture to share with colleagues. The Organization of Students for African Unity (OSAO formerly BSU) gave her the opportunity to perform in the dance troupe and sing in the gospel choir for campus events, such as the raising of the campus flag for black history month.
To return gratitude, Rosetta joined the Educational Opportunity Program Summer Academy as a peer leader and provided the same mentorship to the new incoming freshmen. This helped those students adjust to college life through support services, housing, and developmental courses. Her affiliation with these organizations and programs has cultivated her and strengthened her commitment to helping any community she engages in. Rosetta earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies con/ Speech and pursued the graduate program for Master of Arts in Theater Studies.
In 2013, she married her college sweetheart, Isaiah Braxton, who joined the United States Air Force. They both moved to Okinawa, Japan for their first tour of service. While stationed overseas, Rosetta joined the American Red Cross in Okinawa, Japan who focused on first aid, blood drives, 5K runs, and training certifications for service members. She volunteered for the HBCU College Admissions Fair, showcasing the possible careers and volunteer opportunities with the American Red Cross in the U.S.
She began working with the school-age program on base and supervised children aged 6-12 for their before and after school program. Rosetta was then hired as a federal employee to work as a Training Technician at the Child Development Center, supervising her classroom and scheduling for staff. While working there, Rosetta became the President of the Morale Committee and produced many fundraisers, morale events, holiday parties, and sayonara gifts for coworkers and staff. Her hard work paid off by being presented the Morale Committee Service Award and Employee of the Month.
After her family moved to Nevada, Rosetta completed her Human Resource Certification from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She started working as an intern for Evolution Marketing (TickleMe Entertainment), a show production and talent management company for Las Vegas and California talent.
Rosetta began volunteering at the Nellis Area Spouse Thrift Store, a charitable organization that provides donations of up to $47,000 per year. She helped sort and stock lightly used clothing, furniture, and dishes to provide items and assistance for incoming military families to the base.
Store contributions supported the Nellis Area Spouses’ Club scholarships for military dependents and spouses who aspire to complete their certificate, associate’s, or bachelor’s degree. Rosetta was awarded one of the spouse scholarships from the NASC to continue her education and passion for film at the College of Southern Nevada.
Rosetta is an advocate for the arts and has acted as a sponsor for Nellis Air Force Base military families. Her positive attitude and commitment to serving others encouraged her to create the Nellis Black Community support group for military families and service members. Her group has held social events for newcomers, meet & greet parties, couples counseling trips, holiday dinners for spouses during deployment, outdoor recreation gatherings, and an overall safe space for the black community.
Rosetta has worked with Chef for Kids, a local health education program that supports teachers and over 3,000 underserved children yearly. By volunteering, Rosetta has helped children learn to live a healthier lifestyle through nutrition, staying physically active, and food sanitation. Rosetta has also worked with other organizations whose purpose was to support the local youth.
